Since 2015 I have been tweeting with Elon Musk and eagerly bouncing ideas about how we can proceed building on the moon. Construction in every shape and form begins very primitive and as time elapse we learn from our mistakes, adapt and create new technologies and techniques to mediate construction problems. I’m 2015 I tweeted Elon Musk that we should stop believing the only way is to transport material to the moon as that would be a logical nightmare.

As the dawn of man we have utilized the earths natural resources to build some of the first mud huts, wood structures, even weaving tree leaves together to make roofing. Unfortunately In the beginning of our moon colonization we have to realize we have to start at a primitive level. So In furthering this conversation I added we need to find a way to use the moons natural resources and either go underground in the beginning to offer protection from the elements or find another way using the moons surface “soil”

As Technology has progress ICON has become a staple mark in 3d printing. I have enjoyed watching Jason Ballard and his team develop new techniques and creating some of the first 3d printed homes in the United States. It brings me great joy to see NASA committed to working with Jason and ICON to develop 3d printing utilizing matter from the moons natural “soil” to reduce the pollution on the moons surface and really goes towards the primitive mindset of construction.

It is my aspiration to become one of the first builders on the moon and giving the opportunity I would make it my personal lifetime goal and commitment to see human civilization reach new heights and expand to other planets. As far fetched as it seems for some, technology is improving on itself ten fold everyday. We will continue to outgrow and deplete the resources of this planet. Our ability to adapt is one of the human races best qualities as we strive to evolve into a better version of ourselves. It excites me to think of the opportunities other planetary civilization can have and the effects it would have on our youths continued advancement. If your standing still and not improving on a daily basis yourself, your life, and the lives of your family my question is why?

For more than half a century since Neil Armstrong became the first person to set foot on the lunar surface, scientists have dreamed of creating research communities on the moon for further study. There’s just one major problem: Much of the tech required to live and work there for long periods has yet to be developed.Noting the need for infrastructure to sustain long-term lunar missions, NASA recently announced up to $6 million in grant funding for research efforts at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Auburn University in Alabama and the Colorado School of Mines to develop tools and methods for lunar mining, autonomous construction to build landing pads and electronics that can withstand extreme temperatures.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

"Creating the technologies we need to explore the moon requires leveraging expertise from and partnering with academia and industry alike," Prasun Desai, deputy associate administrator of the Space Technology Mission Directorate at NASA headquarters in Washington, D.C., said in a public statement. "These projects show the integral role that universities will play in building humanity's sustainable presence on the moon." To make long-term missions more feasible, researchers led by Gertsch seek to develop electromagnetic and magnetic resource extraction techniques to separate lunar minerals like calcium, aluminum and magnesium needed for manufacturing.“This project will combine two well-understood processes — electrostatic sieving and magnetic separation — to collect the anorthite grains,” Gertsch said in an email to Government Technology. “Specifically, we will build scaled-down devices for each of the two processes and test them separately, in atmosphere and vacuum, under cold and hot temperatures, on materials that simulate the makeup of various lunar soils.

“When we sufficiently understand the process constraints as they are likely to exist on the moon, we will combine the devices into a complete system and test it in its entirety,” she continued. “We expect [our] final brass board system to be able to process 3 kilograms per hour — outputting mineral grains between 20 and 200 microns across that exceed 70 percent anorthite by mass.”To ensure a safe landing for astronauts, the Colorado School of Mines will develop autonomous technology for rovers to assist in constructing landing pads before they arrive on the moon.“The natural lunar surface is pockmarked by craters and boulders that are hazards to safely landing on the lunar surface. To safely deliver humans to the surface of the moon, landing pads must be constructed ahead of the first landing,”

“There’s already a lot of terrestrial experience on autonomous robotics, which we’re going to draw upon for this project,” he said. One of the biggest obstacles to space exploration is extreme temperatures that can render various types of technology useless. Without an atmosphere, NASA researchers say, lunar night temperatures often plummet to hundreds of degrees Fahrenheit below zero. What's more, the lunar terrain includes permanently shadowed regions never touched by sunlight.

As humans we must continually innovate and find modern ways to create and construct livable homes. It will not be easy, it will not be cheap, but I’m up for the challenge it presents as I love construction to my core. I have always told customers, homeowners, business partners, and friends alike I hold an Unlimited Building license and no matter what the circumstances are I can build anything anywhere with enough time and money. Once you complete Commerical projects, build schools, build homes, bridges, highways, houses hanging off mountains, houses at the beach, gas stations in Alaska etc it makes me often ponder what’s next, what’s the limit, is there a limit? In my mind the answer will always be No!
